Week 18 or Transfers

Well, how are you all doing? Its been a very busy week. I got transferred this week! It was hard saying goodbye to everyone in Prado 1 and all the people we teach. But I am excited for the new adventure in Prado 2. I still live in the same house, but instead of working like in the valley of MedellĂn, I am working in the mountains, sooooo high up. It will be really cool.

Our food - in Spanish!

I am very grateful for the chance to serve in Prado 1 and see the miracles of being a missionary. From day one when my comp and I opened the area we had 1 investigator that wasn't going anywhere. We contacted so many hours to find new investigators to bring this gospel into their lives and after just under 3 months we now have 7 baptismal dates, 45 people we are teaching in this moment. And we had one baptism. These things were only possible because we had the spirit with us as we taught and teach. Miracles happen when you are pushed to to limit of giving up and you endure. There were some tough days when no one would be there for our lessons, and we would think, well what now. But after working we have seen results. I am so grateful for this mission. Also my new companion is an Elder from Lima Peru, he has a year in the mission and is a great missionary. Here is to our adventure in prado 2.

A corner store that has everything.

Food!

Anyways this week was general conference and it was so good. It was cool to see the changes that are coming into the church! Also our President of the mission was called as a area 70 so that's really cool! We got 9 of our investigators to come to church for the Sunday morning session and it was awesome! We were so excited to have people come to church and hear the prophet talk! And man he is working. He got in and started working to help the church and the people in it progress.

Just scooping some more food with our food scooper.

Yum!

Great shot.

Also this week was Easter, and let me tell you Easter is a different thing in Colombia. We saw like every day of ¨holy week¨ that's what they call it, but we saw every day people carrying around a big, fake Jesus on a cross around the city and crying. And then other days we saw people in black hoods carrying around a Virgin Marry on a throne. Its a very different atmosphere here in Colombia. But that was our Easter. For General conference there was a lot of talk about following the Prophet and that it is so important to support the Prophet. As a missionary its easy to make this choice because we are testifying of a living Prophet every day. I am so grateful that we have a Prophet to lead and guide us in this last dispensation. I know that he is called of God for our benefit and for us.

A little music time.

Okay last thing, this was my last week with Elder Wilson and it was awesome. We tried to squeeze in every lesson we could. And we told all of our investigators bye and it was just a great time. Some tears but it was so good. I am excited for the other missionaries to come to Prado 1 and keep teaching them and help them continue on this path. Anyways, sorry its short today, don't have much time. Just know I love you and I will try to include more next email!
I love you all and hope all of you have a great week!

Love Elder Goudie
