Week 17 or The Venezuelans

Well, hello everyone. I know that you probably all miss me, but its alright I will be back in like 2 years. Dont even worry about it. Anyways, some more exciting stuff about my mission. Well our bishop is 26 years old. He was a convert when he was 18 I think. And he is such a hard working bishop. So that's cool. Also our neighbor that runs a store out of her house (because that's totally normal here) is an investigator and we have taught her a few times. She also makes us breakfast now and we pay her 2000 pesos. And we also buy ice cream popsicles from her every single day. I always buy a coconut one. Its sooo good. So that's why I might come home and be 40 pounds heavier. Also this next week is Easter and Colombians take the whole week off and I have heard that they carry Jesus around on a cross and they all are crying so it will be a strange week. But yeah here comes Easter.

Shirt Britt gave me. :)

Okay some really cool news and some sad news. Well first the sad, our investigators didn't come to church again so we had to change their baptismal dates. Rough stuff. But we are really hoping that they can make it to general conference this next week. Anyways that's the rough news. But the good news that we had some success with some new investigators. We were teaching some Venezuelans in a barber shop and we went to teach them but they were busy and they said go down to the house and talk with the other chamos (Venezuelan for bro) and we went down to the house and talked with about 15 Venezuelans and taught them all! They are awesome and they are the nicest people that I have talked to. But we talked to them for a while and had a good lesson 1 with them. We know that all of them wont progress at the same rate or at all. But there are some that are really interested and are very cool. I think right now we have more Venezuelan investigators than Colombian which is fine. The Venezuelans are so cool and are just ready to hear the gospel for their situation in Venezuela. I know more and more every day why I am here and why I teach the people of Colombia and Venezuela. Heavenly father is our loving father and is preparing the Venezuelans to hear this message. They are the coolest and I love teaching them even though they are soo hard to understand. Anyways besides that this week we had some good lessons with our investigators and we have committed a lot of people to go to General Conference! So hopefully we get them there!

Doing what we do.
