Week 15 or Mondongo!
Well, it has happened. I have found a food that I do not like, its called Mondongo. We had a lunch waayy high up in the mountains. It was about an hour bus ride. Its super cool that is the good part about this. Anyways we get up here and we wait a little bit to get our food from the member. This family is super cool and way humble and super nice to us. And they dont have very much money so we are very grateful that they give us lunch. But anyways we are sitting there and they say alright this soup is sopa mondongo. And I was like, huh I wonder what that was. My comp leans over and says this is my least favorite food. One of the other Elders says that he does not like it either. I was so afraid of what it was now. I started taking some bites and noticing that it had a horrible flavor. So the rest of these 25 to 30 pieces of meat in this soup, I would just swallow whole. Every one got harder and harder to eat. Finally I got to the last one, it was a big piece. I took a deep breath and put it in my mouth. I tried to swallow and it came back up!! I gagged like 8 times and then swallowed it and I had tears running down my face. I felt sick after eating it. Well now that I finished telling this quick little story. You guys want to know what it is?! ITS COW STOMACH! And the last bite I had, had like little hairs on it that were on my tongue. It was horrible! I almost puked when I was eating it. So if any of you have the opportunity to eat mondongo, just say no. Anyways, I probably will get that a handful more times and I will probably cry when I get it again. But yeah that's my food story this week.
Another quick story is that we never really get dinner at our house. We get home and we are so tired that we go to bed pretty quickly. We have an investigator that is also our neighbor and has a little store that she sells stuff out of. We stopped by to get a coke on the way home one night and she asked if we ever eat dinner. We raised up our coke and said, yep we have this. She was very concerned about our dinner. So she said one minute and came back with a plate with meat on it for us to eat. She gave us dinner to eat! What a blessing. We returned the plate the next day to her and she said, do you guys want some beans? We said why not! She came back with beans, rice, and meat for us to eat dinner. We have had dinner for the last two nights in a row and it is awesome! I love how friendly people are here. Her name is Nuvia and she probably has about 50 years more or less. She is super nice to us.

Okay, well this week. We had a pretty good week. Not a lot of new investigators but we had a really good lesson with our investigator Hermana Rosa, she is from Venezuela and she is super cool. We taught her The Restoration and invited her to baptism. She accepted and we said a date for the 24th of march. But she said she was leaving for Venezuela that day. So we had to move it to the 7th of april. Either ways we are so excited for her and she is so ready for it. We are very happy to teach her. We also had a lesson with another one of our investigators Hermana Nelcy. We taught her and her son about the Sabbath day. They were very interested and Hermana Nelcy has gone to church one time so she kind of knows what it is like. We explained why we do the things we do in the church and invited her to baptism. She said yes and we put a date of the 14th of april. She also said yes! Her son isn't quite ready because he works every Sunday but he said. Oh yeah you should definitely do it! That would be so cool mom! We were pretty excited!

Anyways we are progressing a lot with our investigators and are having a really good time. I love being able to teach the people about this gospel. Anyways we are working hard to get our investigators to church but they never come. That is what is really holding us back. But we are going to figure something out to get them there!
Well, I love you all and hope you have a great week. Thank you all for the support!
