Week 13 or The Mango Plucker

Buenos Días!

This week was awesome. Like every other week we have. We had a lot of good lessons this week and we have 5 baptismal dates. Hopefully some more coming next week as well. But this week, we had some good food. Some burgers that were great, reminds me of home a little bit. And we went fruit hunting. We made an invention (picture below) with a bent hanger over the end of a broom stick. And then that broom stick tied to another broom stick. We have around our apartment, a banana tree, an orange tree, and a mango tree. And we really wanted to grab some fruit to eat. So we made this invention to get some fruit. I had to stick my arm out the window and put my face up against the bars to get a mango but it worked! We got a fresh mango off the tree, but the only problem is that it wasn't ripe enough, so we have it in a fruit bowl to ripen. That's my mango plucking story for this week. I invite you all to have a little adventure and make a mango plucker for some reason. Because it was one of the most adventurous times in my life.

Mango plucker!

Success!

Reach!

Alright, this week. We had a pretty good week. We didn't quite hit our goal for new investigators but we had 7 for this week and they all seem really cool. We are going to set a few more baptismal dates with some of our new investigators. We also planned to have about 11 investigators at church, but not one showed up. We went to go pick of 6 of them but none of them were there. This was really discouraging, we thought how could none be here? But we made a plan to get more people there next week. We are going to have daily contact with all of our lessons so that we can get more people to church. The people here are super lazy on Sundays because they are all up way late partying on Saturday night.

This is a video of us having to walk down the hill sideways because the hills are too steep. SO this is what we have to do. Ha!

Mustaches that Britt sent me - because why not?

Looking good.

Are we doing this right?

Another quick story, we have an investigator named Arturo and he is super strange. He says he talks with the Virgin Mary and god through telepathic communication. He has blessed us before and blessed us again this week. He kept asking me if I was okay and I said yeah I am super good and he said no you're not, let me give you a blessing. So he came over and put his hands on my head and started saying random crap and saying wake up wake up wake up over and over and over again. Then he started just barley slapping me in the face, not hard or anything but like 15 times he hit me in the face and me and my comp were dying!!! I had no idea what to do and it was just so strange. Finally he said look at me so I looked up and just stared at him and he said okay that's good. Well this was my story about Arturo

Another view because why not? Por que no?

Well, I don't have a ton of time right now, but everything is going super great in Medellin Colombia. I love everyone here and the people are awesome. We are doing great and we are going to work harder and harder to get people here to hear about this gospel. Because the truth is that this Gospel changes lives and it has changed mine. I love everyone thank you all for the support.
