Week 8 or El Campo W:2

Hello everyone!

This week was awesome as usual. We started our week off with some nice contacting as usual. Every day we have a goal to contact one hour. And it is paying off because we are getting some great investigators. We achieved our goal of 10 new investigators in one week. We were pretty excited about it. But first let me tell you so more about Medellin. I thought after walking around 10 miles everyday that my legs would just be ripped and I would be super muscular but I am not. Every day walking up the street up really steep hills still hurts my legs. More and more.. Medellin is super pretty, and our area is huge. The weather is always hot or raining. and sometimes both. It never ever gets cold. So yeah I am loving this weather and sweating constantly. My comp is awesome. We work well together and are just preaching the gospel constantly. Anyways the area is really pretty and there are homeless people everywhere but that's fine. I also had this juice that is called tomato juice that's from a tree. Or something like that, but it is sooooo good.

At the house.

Me in my hammock! I found a way to put it up!

Yes!

Oh hi!
Okay, the good stuff. Cool story first, when I was in the CCM we left to go proselyting in Bogota Norte and our comp there was Elder Garces. He told me he was from Medellin and if I knew his mom I would become fat because of all the food. Well for lunch the other day I was eating my food and looked up at the lady giving us the food and I said: Do you have a son serving in Bogota? She said yes I do. And I said is his name Elder Garces. And she said yes it is. So we had a really cool conversation about that and it was really cool. But during this week me and Elder Wilson have had some really good things and really bad things. Our investigator Hermano Alexis is really struggling with his addictions and doesn't want to meet with us anymore. But we keep trying anyways. We got a bunch of really good investigators. We got 2 families of four and they are just awesome. One of them we have had 2 lessons with and they all said that they would get baptized. We will try and set a date with them next time. But they have offered to feed us lunch and they really like having us over. Our second lesson with them we taught the restoration more in depth and they really enjoyed it. It was very spiritual. The other family is out of town but they want to meet when they get back. Our next new investigator is a man named Andres, he is really cool and his parents are members. We taught him the Evangelio De Jesucristo and he really enjoyed it. He felt the spirit and even started crying during our lesson. We invited him to repent and be baptized and he agreed. We will set a date with him next lesson.

The city!

More City!

Even more city!

Okay now the really good one

This man named Gabriel. he is awesome, we met him on the street because he came to us wondering who we were. We have had two lessons with him and he has read both of our folletos and loved them about the gospel of Jesus Christ and the restoration. He loves them, we gave him a Book of Mormon and he has read like all of first Nephi. We invited to baptism and set a date of the 17th of February. He agreed!!! When we talk to him I feel the spirit constantly. He loves everything we have to share and he even came to church!! He doesn't have a phone or anything so we just have to wait and see if he shows up at the church for our appts. And he does every time. He talked to our bishop about his baptism date and said he was so excited. I know that Gabriel will always be happy in the church of Jesus Christ of latter day Saints.

Pics of a family that we ate lunch with - there son is serving in Bogota and I served with him when we went there!

Well that is it for this week. I am working hard every day and inviting as many people as I can to hear our message. Because I know our message as missionaries is true. The church of Jesus Christ is true. I love you all and hope you all have a great week!! Also Hermano Gabriel cannot say my name so he says his own name when he is talking to me. And during prayers. For example, he was praying and said I am so grateful for these missionaries Elder Wilson and Elder Gabriel. Its great and I love him!
