It Rained!! (Week 5)

Well this is my last email form the CCM. How has this much time gone by! One month!

Well, this week was awesome. We had a lot of Spanish this week. And it was crazy hard, but thanks to my roommates and comp and other elders I made it through. Anyways we went proselyting and it was amazing.

And let me tell you I have never seen so much rain in my life. Wow it was crazy, I saw the closest thing to snow I will ever see here. Hail. So much of it. So anyways, we went to Bogota Norte and we got there and we arrived at like 8ish and started our day of with a 30 minute bus ride to our area which was right next to the mountain and we had to walk up it to get to our investigators house. So then we got here and this place was probably 400 steps straight upward. And the houses were on a cliff and it was a ghetto. The houses were maybe the size of a living room. But wow humbling.

Anyways, we taught our investigator and it was an awesome lesson, we taught the first lesson and I shared the first vision, memorized!! Heck yeah, anyways. After our lesson, we walked down the 400 stairs again and we were just about to cross the street when I felt like I was supposed to turn around. So I did, there was a man sitting where we had just walked and I didn't even notice him. So I walked up to him and introduced us and he said he would hear our message. So me and Elder Craig taught the whole lesson in Spanish without our senior comp. It was so cool. I know that our vocabulary was not good enough to teach this lesson and share the first vision, but somehow we did it. It simply was a miracle.

But seriously it was so much fun and we walked and contacted a ton. Not a ton of success contacting, but we did do a lot. Our comp was a Latino and it was a good insight on what it will be like when I leave the CCM. Next week.. oh goodness that's crazy! The time is flying by here.

Oh also from all the rain that day, the streets flooded. Like a solid 2 or 2 and a half feet. And we had to cross the streets. So in we went and we were pretty much swimming. About the only time that we will get that chance. Also my scriptures, soaked. My hymn book, soaked. Everything, soaked. So let me tell you how much fun that was. Haha, no but it really was a great time and I cannot wait to leave the CCM and be in Colombia

I love it here and I love all my family and friends supporting me. I know this church is true and I cannot wait to get out into the world and share the truthfulness of it. Love you all.
